Nonsense. If liberals really cared about other people they wouldn't try to rob them so that they can redistribute the stolen property according to personal whims.

Your post reminded me of Penn Jillette's great quote (whom I'm also a big fan of):

"It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people yourself is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral, self-righteous, bullying laziness"

However if you are suggesting that Conservative Politicians in general are much better then you are mistaken. If you weren't actually suggesting that, then I apologize for making that assumption.

Depending which year you look at the numbers. In 2006 for example, 59 Billion dollars were dolled out for social welfare programs like school lunch programs, food stamps and housing assistance. The same year the government dolled out 92 Billion in Corporate Welfare (Cato Institute now says it tops 100 Billion) in the form of multimillion dollar free grants, no-bid government contracts, crony pork projects, industry specific targeted tax breaks and rates, agriculture subsidies ect. ect.

Remember when there were more contractors in Iraq then troops or when the government was paying Halliburton 45 dollars for a case of Soda and 100 dollars for a bag of laundry or the when the government was continually buying million dollar tanks year after year long after the Army even protested they didn't want or need any more tanks because they couldn't even track or maintain their existing fleet? But they couldn't stop because it's a "jobs program". No reasonable person can say that our Republican Party don't have a huge hand in all this.

IMHO whether a tax dollar is wasted on an "Obama Phone" or lost to theft/fraud/waste on a Iraqi Construction Project, the outcome is the same.

Hah, really.
Nevada is run by Republicans still, so if anything happens there that people hate, they need to blame the real culprits, and not Californians that have nothing to do with anything.
