This is a common misconception about prayer . . . what you call positive thinking IS prayer and faith that comes from within (guess where God is). Just because a lot of dogma and human precepts and doctrine have tried to monopolize and define God in exclusionary terms is irrelevant to the reality. After Jesus . . . ALL our consciousnesses have contact with God.

I think you have allowed the irrationality of some and the magical beliefs of many to cloud your objectivity and foster mockery and disdain. Your "Nature" is God and the "laws of nature" are God's laws. Asking for a violation of those laws is hardly a minor request . . . or remotely reasonable. I completely understand your frustration with irrationality . . . but "try a little tenderness." Our beliefs play an important role in our mental health and adjustment to life . . . tread lightly.

The main rationality is subjective God. But over-all our rational thoughts are objective re-evolutionary tendencies of the conclusively known by Evolution. Somehoe evolution fails to explain the new feelings to unfulfilled commimtments, but with God there is nothing we would make ourselves belong to indecently; what we can do and not do masters against temptation.

It would appear that God will raise the dead, yet He is not regrow the limbs of people. God does things in His own way. Once I told Jesus I loved Him as I was getting out of my truck. I was going into work and heading to the plant entrance. As I got closer to the gate I saw this red balloon blowing wildly in the wind. It would go up very high, and then sweep down very low. As I got close to the plant gate, the balloon went low behind it. Suddenly it started to act very strangly, and began moving in a rapid side ways motion. It then centered itself in midair just behind a four inch opening in the Gate. The balloon was about ten inches in dia. Yet suddenly pushed forward and somehow got through the four inch opening and almost hit me in the face. I caught the balloon in my hands, and when I turned the balloon over, printed on the other side of the ballon were the words. "I LOVE YOU". Those were the exact words I had just said to Jesus just one minute before while getting out of my truck. I tried to save the balloon, and I went back to my truck and put it inside, yet before I could close the door, a wind came and the balloon flew out, and continued down the street. God does lots of things to show us He exist, and sometimes He does things totally unexpected. Yet, it is not usually what we want, or what we demand, it is often what God decides.

Hummmmm, I suspect that we all see into the future, everyday, or thereabouts. When I sleep, eventually (at least up until this point in time) when I awaken, I am seeing the future as opposed to the past when I went to sleep. I always wake up in the future that then becomes the present. Thus far in my life I have seen over 50 years into the future, that has now become my past. How much future will I be able to see? I have no earthly idea. Tomorrow will be my future relative to today, my present, and yesterday, my past. We all watch the future unfold, seconds at a time. Literally, in the blink of an eye, parts of it become the past.
