Did it ever occur to you that I might think you and your world view is inferior? Due to you total lack of openmindedness?
The world doesn't belong to you or to christianity.
Irrelevant; and I take your defensiveness as an indication that you have no actual argument against my observation that a same-sex sexual union is inferior to an opposite-sex sexual union.
Is there even a way to definitively know what Jesus actually taught?
You have to know His character as reflected in HIS actions and attitudes unambiguously demonstrated in His reactions to the scourging and crucifixion! Under such excruciating circumstances imposed on Him by our savage ancestors, He reacted with agape love and forgiveness. That is a very unambiguous indicator of His character, IMO. You should be able to infer His reaction to any lesser "supposed offenses" against Him. But you will not as long as you and your church retain our ancestors' primitive and barbaric beliefs about God and interpretations of the Cross.

It's not irrelevant at all...other than that you are clearly prejudiced against gay people.
Not if they care about what Scripture actually says. But then, it seems less and less churches in America really care about being faithful to God's Word.
I guess what I'm curious about is, why does it matter what a church thinks about one's relationship? Remember when it was supposedly all about "We just want to be equal?" Now it's about forcing others to endorse it.
We are not all equal. That is a reality The Bible clearly states that men are the head of the house and women must submit to him and obey. That did not change. Yet w3 have women who think they do not need men and can go have babies without them. I feel sorry for them.
The implication is that this "Truth" is what you and your church interpret it to mean.
Of course, there are a few thousand other churches that believe THEIR interpretation is the "right" one.
You have no monopoly on "Truth."
For the most part, MOST Christian churches that draw their teachings from the Bible do agree on the major issues, though. Especially things such as homosexuality. It's really not an ambiguous point.
