Since you use the word "more" in all your examples and mention "uncertain times" as the driver for wanting "more", it would see that you are already a believer and your belief is not sufficiently reassuring you that Everything Will Be Alright.
Consider that doing more of something that's not already working might be worth reconsidering. If "living in interesting times" is exposing that your faith isn't cutting it, then either you're doing it wrong or you're barking up the wrong tree to begin with. Personally, I suspect it's the latter.

I feel your suspicions are correct. Those who believe in a god or gods seem more troubled by what their god is NOT doing, rather than having patience like they are taught. Patience? Really? Consider the possibility that everyone may be worshiping something that probably doesn't exist.
