Practically speaking, how would one theoretically go about using empirical science to record and "recognize" a supernatural occurrence?
Science deals with nature, and the "supernatural" is by definition outside nature...
Very simple. God can simply grow a new limb onto an amputee. Science would recognize that as a supernatural occurrence because science says it cannot happen on its own.

Because the perspective of 'pals one hangs out with' is always an accurate description of a person? Because such 'pals' couldn't possibly have an ulterior motive to direct the 'story' in a particular way?
