Anyone giving any sort of presentation longer than about 3 minutes isn't wrong to want to use notes. Some pastors do preach off of a manuscript, and then they post them online. Again, nothing wrong with that. The Holy Spirit can work through him just as well as he prepares it in advance as He can when he's preaching off the cuff.
