Seems like this issue has reached the mainstream media as i just heard it talked about on a daily syndicated radio program , its online , and in the newspapers . I heard on the program that Atheists are complaining because 'its making them sick as they walk by the cross' , they find it offensive , and it shouldnt be a public display at a Memorial .
How do Atheists feel when they see Arlington National Cemetary on TV with rows of white crosses as far as the eye can see ? Does it make them feel nauseated ?!
I realize the OP is no longer here, but I have to say that this is a stupid question because the markers at Arlington are not crosses. They are regular headstones. The faith of the fallen is noted by a cross, Star of David, or moon etched into the headstone, but the headstones themselves are not crosses.
Placing a Christian symbol at the very place hundreds of people were killed because of some lunatics who believed a God wanted them to kill.
It's all odd to this atheist.
The cross doesn't begin to express how odd and sick it makes me.
Religious fanatics took those buildings down and now religious fanatics went after those God terrorist, killed them and any innocent people who happened to fall between the two waring Gods in Iraq, used the name of the Christian God as justification, now, we will place a Christian symbol to worship at the foot of this site? Really?
Eeeeuuuuu, it's all gross.
Please people, just stop with the religious wars already. It's monstrous and yes, it's making me nauseated. Stop killing people in the name of some God. Not all of us want to die over a fairy tale.
And yes, I will reiterate, it makes me SICK watching all this killing that Gods are commanding.
911 should have showed everybody how ferociously gross it is to engage in a religious war. A war based on what an invisible man commands. Am I crazy? I'm thinking the ones praying for other people to die are the crazy ones, at least from my end. It's nutty.
