There was a recent Matt Dilahunty YouTube post ( I cannot find up, but as a cat-god I declare that it is there) In this thread he discussed the accuracy and responses of people who have RECENTLY quit religion and the reasons they quit.

I cannot speak for other cat, other than to say that I understand the difference between fact and fiction, and what is mentally healthy and what is not.

I do not find Megachurches to be entertaining, for example, but I certainly find Episcopal High churches at times to be so.

Don't like it? well too bad Welcome to 21st Century America

For me, yes I miss the art and music, which is why I still go on Christmas Eve.
As For outdated beliefs, no I do not miss, nor do I need a non-existent god.

Oh I may be offline for a few weeks I have a Vegas Vacation "Sin CIty" except that SIN does not exist...) SO I will not be on for a while

The Loneliness Epidemic is driving a number of people to churches and a number of them may be atheists/agnostics. They are just places to socialize, sleep during the sermons.

There may be some truth to that. I have some women friends that don't go to Church but they do constantly ask me about the social activities my church has going on and if I can bring them along.

Church attendance is expected to be up one percentage point from the past years. Experts think this is a good time to attend church, and conditions are favorable for another rise next year. If you're thinking of attending church, this would be a good time to invest your time in doing so.

Please keep in mind that past performance is no guarantee of future performance. Always consult a qualified and certified church attendance specialist before investing your time and the time of your loved ones in going to church.

Issue a lottery ticket to each attendee who stays through the sermon and closing prayer, and the pews will be filled every Sunday.
