We are usually hovering right around the freezing point at least some point in the day, so there is almost always some ice mixed in. "All snow" is not typical except the day it falls unless it doesn't get above 28 or so for days at a time, which is pretty rare.

Raleigh area roads are being sprayed now. Saw lots of white lines all over northern Wake County today.

Well this sucks. My job was kind enough to give me a 4 day weekend since I worked NYE. Seems now I'm going to be stuck inside half the weekend. This looks like it's going to be a messy one.

Brine the roads 3 days ahead of the suspected storm.....so that the liquid has plenty of time to evaporate and blow away....good call NCDOT....

I think we will get 4-6". It's gonna be cold y'all, below freezing for over 48 hours and Sunday night might dip to 0 or below. This should be a mostly snow event, might start as rain/wintry mix. I'm looking forward to having Saturday off work and spending it with the gf instead lol

If it starts as a wintry mix then it will be a big mess. Snow on top of ice, sucks.

Ok so assume we get 6 inches of snow (not ice) - I'll be good for a flight on Thursday right?
