Maybe, the Democrats could create "high rise" low income housing for the people of South Chicago? Oh yes, they tried that and they ended up turning into "high rise" Ghettos that they had to tear down Democrats, F-up almost everything they touch

The Economist have cited studies that show the poor is not static - they get richer, get out of poverty, and their spots are filled by other poor that moves to the state.

That's how the system works. We turn poor into non-poor (at least for a reasonable number of them). Without CA, the red states will get stuck with perpetual sameness. States like Texas, Arizona, etc; would be stuck without the Californians moving there.
I doubt that. The statistics I've seen are that women on public assistance have a 3 times higher birth rate than women not receiving public assistance, and 70% of those born into poverty never rise above it their entire lives.

US Census Bureau, when they still published such statistics:
Quote:
"For the nation, the birth rate for women receiving public assistance was 160 births per 1,000 women, almost three times the rate for women not receiving public assistance (56 births per 1,000 women)."
http://www.census.gov/prod/2010pubs/p20-563.pdf

Data on those born into poverty:
Quote:
"New research by Pew's Economic Mobility Project finds 70 percent of those who are born in the bottom fifth never climb to even the middle of the economic ladder.

...Seventeen percent who were born in the bottom fifth of income make it up to the middle as adults. Nine percent make it up to the fourth highest fifth and a measly 4 percent climb to the top fifth of income in the United States."

Can we please, please, please just let this state secede from the country and unite with Mexico already?
If you take your emotions out of it, doesn't it really make sense though?

If he is contributing to the problem in a demonstrable way (he is, as has already been noted), and he has not shown any real solutions, then doesn't it make sense for them to try to solve the problem with him out of the way?

A lot of factors contribute to the homeless situation, and I'm not trying to pin either party with all the blame, because that would be wrong.

It always amazes me how many people drink the koolaid about CA. It's the strongest, biggest state economy in the USA. They have a LOT of problems, but a lot of success too. Acknowledge both, and quit being so damned partisan.

I'm sure Trump has probably done things that help too. Instead of making stupid comments about how bad CA is, how about add to the discussion by saying what Trump has done, or can do to help?

Even if true (which I doubt), what does that have to do with anything?

DT hates California's political alignment, so naturally his minions are dissing on the state.

The local politicians love California so much they allow vagrants to take a dump in front of your business, and Junkies to shoot up at the transportation hubs, and have LE look the other way. It's Leftist Democrats Ideology doing it to California, not Trump or the GOP.

Why? Because homelessness isn't banned in Mexico?
