Our dachshund sleeps sideways between my husband and I. He burrows under the covers.
I am usually clinging right on the edge of the king size bed.

I just bought another dog bed and put it in the bedroom.
Haven't told him he has to use it but he's getting used to it being there
and he has volunteered a few times on his own already.

My dog Terra is my everything. She is a member of my family, she likes sleeping next to me, we usually have breakfast, walk and even travel together. She's like my little daughter, so smart and lovable.

And this is why I love animals though I'm not used to dogs I love the sense of companionship they bring to people. Used to have a cat as a teen and she'd sleep next to me. Then after school, I'd be eating lunch and she'd next to me and if I was eating chicken i would give her some of the pieces she could eat.

She accidentally got her mouth on a piece of KFC chicken once and let me just say, she was excited LOL.

anyone who is reading this give your cat a piece of KFC chicken and see it's reaction.

Yes. The two cats, both 17, sleep at the foot of the bed on a towel. In the winter, I place a large heating pad under it with a timer. It has a warm setting which is lower than low which helps their old bones. These days, its getting harder and harder for them to get going in the morning.
