It's not that wherever those complainers came from was so great, it's that for the most part they bring their attitudes with them. Quite likely they didn't like where they came from, either. Some of them I can just picture standing outside the Pearly Gates complaining to St Peter that they aren't quite 'pearly' enough.

We also have a town that is a "non" number, as in Non, Oklahoma, that's a hop, skip and a jump from where I grew up in good old Gerty.
