I agree. Rat snakes, King snakes, and other snakes are very beneficial. I don't want to encounter one, but I won't kill one that I encounter.

I DO however, have a fear of big, BIG spiders that I can't keep under control..

I think the snake was hiding in the washer......there was a pretty big spider in the laundry area the other night

Last summer, my first time camping in OK, I was fishing I looked down on the ground and there was this black spider with a body ( not counting the legs) the size of a silver dollar
I had to pull my dog away cause he was starting to sniff it.
My first stomp with my boot didn't even phase it.

Holy Crap that give me the chills....now I am never wearing sandals and shorts outside by our creek. Dang no one told me about all the critters.
