I wonder why you don't see 10 commandment monuments in front of local churches? I only know of one place of worship that has them posted, and that is a Jewish synagogue near Utica Sq in Tulsa. I'm guessing there are more but I don't recall seeing them. These so called Christians seem to have a chip on their shoulders and are using the monument more as a victory trophy. I wish the religious Reich would put the Christ back in Christian.

Amen. I don't know but have some ideas about it. Putting up a cross is much more popular. Rather than the Ten Commandments, it makes for better impact upon the heart and soul, since it reminds people how Jesus died and why. Church people would not like to be reminded what they've been doing wrong, if the Ten Commandments was prominently posted, greeting them every time they go to church.

Looks like somebody broke all Ten Commandments At the State Capitol last night. I hear they are looking for a guy named Moses.

Moses was the original suspect but it's looking like some demon possessed guy did it.

"It's absolutely appalling that someone would vandalize anything at the Oklahoma State Capitol - the people's building - much less a monument of such significance." Mary Fallin.

Yes, it is appalling that someone would think a decrepit building is something to vandalize. There's plenty of other abandoned, broken down buildings in OKC to drive a perfectly good car into. Good thing that stone block was in the way. It was significant for being put there by a big blowhard who can't spell Sabbath or maidservant and costing millions of dollars in legal fees. The term "stupid" has rarely had better representation in the physical realm.

"The People of Oklahoma will not stand for acts of violence against the Capitol or it's monuments." Mary Fallin

Is busting up concrete to fix the sewage system considered violence against the building? That would explain why the building is falling apart. The people of OKC should take up a collection for some tin foil, cardboard and duct tape to cover up any broken windows in the future.

Incidentally, as Christians (self-proclaimed and otherwise) around here are so proud of this fact, let me share something with you. I have lived in many places around the world. I have NEVER encountered as many people as I have here in the bible belt who go to church twice a week but are stealing, lying, drug dealing crooks who sit in judgement of others.

That is all.
Well, then theyre clearly not Christians now, are they? Simply going to church makes one as much a Christian as standing in a garage makes one an automobile.

The legislators got what they sowed. The vandal was apparently mentally ill and off his meds. But the legislators haven't been doing much in the interest of mental health care. Of course, the legislators, especially Republicans, would only say it's the personal responsibility of every sick citizen to get medical care and take their medicine, not theirs.
