That is so true. Unfortunately expect to see violent crime rise everywhere this year, everyone be safe and cautious as possible. Summer hasn't arrived yet and we're already seeing an increase in crime in cities nationwide. Here in Toledo we're already at 5 as of today. In 2007 we didn't see 5 until July.

o ok my mistake

even tho crime is up, in Youngstown homicides are down. There are only (8) homicides so far as of April. Even tho its still bad for a city its size its still down.......... compared to previous years......

2007 (10)
2008 (11)
2009 (8)

It's really irrelevant to post cities that have 1-3 homicides as there are probably 50 cities in Ohio with similar numbers.

Oh I agree.. but if you list EVERY city with a homicide, the list would be MUCH longer, that's all I'm saying...

I'm wondering how many of these are drug and gang related . Those are the one that I get a good laugh about, when the families want us to feel sorry for thier deaths.
But the ones I get mad about are those innocent victims, like the little girl that was just playing at home and a bullet from a drive by shoot strikes her and kills her. Now to me that in its self is worth the death penalty for the shooter, hand down, no matter what thier age is.
I think Ohio should adapt the Texas law, if three or more people see you commit the crime of murder, you go right to the chair . Let the creator figure out what to do with them.
