I will tell you exactly what I tell those that call and ask that question on the telephone. We go into a private booth to vote so our vote can be private; do you really think I will tell someone on the telephone or someone on a forum who I am planning to vote for? It is none of your business.

If everyone gave this answer, we could have a better election. Keep them guessing!

Yes, because everybody on this forum knows exactly who you are.

The only way you have a "better" election is by keeping the voting public interested enough to get out and vote. Being smug and secretive about your views helps nothing.

Exactly. We the people need to discuss amongst ourselves who is the best candidate and why, this is what helps make up an informed electorate that is beyond being swayed by negative ads and a media that tries to play kingmaker.

As a gay man, I could never vote for a party that doesn't believe I should have full equal rights...I also could not vote a party that wants to cut taxes on the rich, destroy healthcare reform, deregulate even further the banks, and do away with emissions standards, and take away a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body....so I'm emphatically voting for Obama again, and I'm canvassing neighborhoods to drum up support for him, and thats even though I'm overall not that happy with the job he's done, it's still much better than Bush ever did and Romney wants to go back to the era of Bush.

Obama most definitely for me.

Hi ohioaninsc--

Romney should be your boy.

Romney on abortion:

Mitt Romney on Abortion throughout the Years (720p HD) - YouTube

Romney on global warming:

Romney: Global Warming Is Real, Humans Have Impact - YouTube

And don't forget Romneycare:

Romney on obamacare: "It's not worth getting angry about." - YouTube

According to Johnathan Gruber, the MIT economist who worked on both Romney's and Obama's team when both were seeking to use the power of government to take over healthcare, Romneycare and Obamacare are "the same ****ing bill."

Also, don't forget that while Mitt Romney was Governor, Massachusetts became the first state in the union to legalize gay marriage.

So let me repeat: Romney is your boy.

I don't think the writer was being smug but stating that you don't discuss certian things with complete strangers just like you don't discuss certian things in bars.

These are the rules of our society!

The rules of our society is to not have an open political dialog with people you don't know very well? Interesting...

So, I guess it's better to simply discuss it among friends who agree with you or your bigoted uncle at Thanksgiving. With that attitude, I'd say it's no small wonder why there is so much rhetoric and so little substance in the political arena these days.

Not stating pro-Obama or pro-Romney - not trying to start a partisan debate or blame either party!

What I am stating is that Bush, Clinton, G.W. Bush, and now Obama all have the same thing in common which is shared by millions of Americans. NO ONE - let me change that ALMOST NO ONE is willing and ready to take responsibility for their actions these days. It has been about 60 years since people took responsibility for their actions. I'm not sure where we went wrong as a nation but clearly 60 years of the blame game and expecting the government to take care of you has not helped! (That statement is not meant at all as being partisan - I'm merely stating what did people do before social welfare programs were provided by the government? Once again that is not a hack at social welfare and whether or not it is needed.)

I'd be ten times more likely to vote for any candidate that came out and said directly "I did X it worked" and "I did Y and it failed miserably" long before the current cast of politicians we have managing this country. Ross Perot was on the right track with how he sopke to America (not commenting on Perot's ideas just how he addressed us as a nation) and treated the American public - he was just there at the wrong time.
