While watching the video above, from around 16-18 minutes in, I thought that it could serve as an idea for said neighborhoods to use facilities to help spur economic development in those neighborhoods. An example that came to mind in Syracuse is to have the local semipro Football team play games at the planned stadium to be built at Wilson Park just south of Downtown, near the ITC campus: https://www.syracuse.com/news/2022/0...outputType=amp Just like the Negro Leagues did in the past, those games could be used as a way for black owned businesses can provide services from restaurants/food trucks, entrepreneurs that may sell items, other businesses to provide tables with information about their businesses, etc. This is the semipro team in Syracuse and why it could serve the same purpose: https://www.syracusestrong.com/ https://www.syracusestrong.com/team-4
This could also serve as a way to help build up a black business base and network, while doing so in a family friendly environment. Other cities could potentially do the same thing maybe based around a similar type of team/organization with a regular schedule of games that can also serve as a place of networking and commerce.
