I see cars doing 80 or more on the GCP and L.I.E. when traffic is light and rarely if ever see speed traps with cops using radar.

When are drivers going to get pissed off enough to make themselves a political issue? If every driver in NY Metro (in NYS) voted against Hochul she'd be gone, and her replacement would be much more car friendly. Then we could rescind a lot of this anti car bullchit (congestion pricing, too slow speed limit, all camera based traffic enforcement, use of toll money for mass transit, etc., etc.).

"But I can't vote against her. NPR and the NYT tell me her opponent is icky and won't let me get an abortion even though I'm menopausal." Typical Dem voter.

Driving in NYC is horrendous nowadays. They won’t stop here either. Thank god I only have to be there for work.

yes, that's for sure.

between taking away so many parking paces, installing the Citi-bike's, reducing the MPH, they are trying to do everything possible to discourage us drivers.

but, I don't mind PT but id never give up my pick up, ain't never happening, ever....

If they lower the speed limits even more it will slow down traffic entering and exiting manhattan which will reduce the amount of tolls collected. I really don't feel like driving in manhattan at all because it's too congested and there's nothing much I need to do.

Other than restaurants, office visits, there's nothing left to do. Eventually these restaurants will get so expensive that it's not worth going in.

Dinner - $250
Congestion toll - $15
Parking Ticket- $115

That could be the kind of night just for a simple dinner.
They don’t care. All they care is that a study showed that there will be an X% increase in speeding violation camera tickets which will generate more revenue for the city.

The city and politicians don’t even pretend anymore that this is about safety.

This proposal coincidentally came about when the city is having budget issues. Just a coincidence.
