I am in NYC 5+ times per year. I was there about three weeks ago. Feels the same as it has for the past decade or so, which is relatively safe, especially compared to a number of other US cities. There are many places where I feel perfectly fine walking around at 2-3AM. Can't say the same about most other major US metros.

I can go on YouTube now and watch countless videos of how great Lebanon is. You wouldn’t know rhit country is has been a failed state for close to a decade now.
Are you comfortable walking around at 2am even in South Brooklyn?
??? Southern Brooklyn is pretty safe, outside of the Coney Island area.
Its mostly just Jews and Asians there nowadays, with a sprinkle of old Italians and Hispanic immigrants.

Did I hear that a thug pushed a little old lady (not much older than I) down some church steps in Queens? That's low! Was it a "thug" or a crazy homeless guy or an illegal alien? So many options!
I worked at the PABT 1979 - 1981. It was like that then. The neighborhood was a lot worse, though. It was before they Disneyfied 42nd Street. Watch The Times Square Killer on Netflix if you want to see what it used to look like. Lots of footage of the area.
They're going to build a nice new Midtown Bus Terminal for the homeless!
I agree. The PA was much worse in the 70s. There used to be more graffiti.
Unless that poster is a 6’5” black dude himself or always hangs with a crew, I don’t actually believe he flaneurs through Harlem at all hours of the night.
Believe it. He’s a bouncer at a club n comes home late
