Show us that life expectancy in NYC is superior than other urban areas in the US. Rankings of hospitals are nice and I understand that NYC has a saturation of specialists but all that matters is life expectancy. Show us that NYCs glorious healthcare system translates to the ultimate quality of life metric which is living longer.
i never made that claim .about life expectancy
it has nothing to do with life expectancy being longer .
that isn’t what better healthcare is all about … it’s making it thru the daily grinds of crap that hurts us from accidents to diseases to special kinds of surgery.
it’s about making us feel better and function better for the time we are here .
none of that may add a single year of life but it makes a big difference in how much better we may function or suffer.
my example was scranton hospital which would have been our hospital in pa was crap compared to our trauma centers .
people who died there may very well have still been alive with better treatment from accident or disease , notice i didn’t say live longer
Outside of Manhattan and maybe SI, the NYC’s healthcare system is a third world Medicaid dystopia. This is well known to anybody who isn’t wrapped up in their own narcissistic existence.

Yes, NYC has great specialists. Just like NYC has $20MM glorious condos overlooking Central Park. How many people does that benefit?
My wife is a city employee so I’d say we have fairly good healthcare right below the wealthy and the union trades. For the 70% of people that don’t fall under wealthy, city employee, union trades, or F50 high fliers, the city’s healthcare system is a disaster.
because that data proves nothing as far as what was being questioned….that statistic is not related to the quality of our hospitals.
i can tell you this though .
the first thing they did when gloria estephan had her horrific crash near scranton is as soon as she was stable they air lifted her out of scranton hospital to a nyc trauma center
Yes we know, you’re only familiar with two things: 1. The Poconos and 2. Rich people

I’m not sure this list proves what you’re hoping it does. Do I want the #12 hospital for cancer or #1? (Which happens to be in Texas FWIW). Very few of those ratings are even in the top 10.
