do you guys think this was a harder test than usual ?it seems that less than 1% (maybe .5%)aced it.its hard to tell with all of the extra credit scores.
Had a quick question for you or anybody else out there who took the physical test. Do you need to have the Medical certification form signed by a physician even though you don't have a physical condition and are in good health? Or do you just need to have the physical fitness test release form signed?

This was my first time taking the test, there were some questions that I had to go over a few times, still had plenty of time to double check my answers. 32,640 showed up for exam #6063,29,205 eligible list(passed). I can't believe that a little over 3,000 people didn't pass the test.
The test in 2003 drew more than 40,000,22,000 eligibles for the last test.
Mayor Bloomberg leaves office in 2009,the guy is more of a businessman than a politician, back in 2003 he actually laid off a few hundred sanitation workers which were eventually rehired. The new mayor will have an impact on the amount of new hires for the sanitation dept.
The union's president, Harry Nespoli, said that negotiating with the Bloomberg administration over the past three years was extremely difficult.
"There were times that I got totally disgusted," Mr. Nespoli said.
"This is by far the toughest contract that I ever sat down at."(2005)
There were 11,164 workers on the force in 1971
the earliest year for which records were immediately available. Back then they had 3 men on a truck. 7,899 uniformed workers and supervisors today.
I never knew they used to have 3 men per truck back in the day but lets face it, theres no need for 3 guys when most crews finish their route in 4-5hrs. I could be wrong but alot of people on know on the job tell me this.
Yeah I always wondered about how many hours they spend on the route,I heard that they don't let you go home before your shift ends. In the summer they start at 6:00am,winter at 7:00am. About the union,is it optional to join? I am sure that the union dues are a lot every pay period.
