TGFann, we ate at Bahr's for my birthday, which is right around Valentine's Day. We were the only ones there, and we got the full Valentine's Day treatment. What happened was they lost all their electricity that day, and it didn't come back the entire day or night, so they wound up having to cancel all those Valentine reservations! In strolls us a day or so later, and it was just one of those things where we really lucked out.

Also, I love Dino's. That's a Friday night during Lent stop!

We must be in the same exact area.

Malaga in Trenton is supposed to have excellent Spanish food (and I think they have music and some sort of Spanish dance show Thursday nights), but I haven't been there yet.

The White House sub shop in Atlantic City. There is no substitute. In fact, I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet.

Others: Tarantella in Medford. Mastoris Diner in Bordentown. Portofino in Morristown. Iberia in the Ironbound Section of Newark. River Palm Terrace in Edgewater. Picallili Tavern for wings in Shamong. Gaettanos in various southern NJ locations for cheesesteaks. Long Valley Brew pub is yet another good one.

However, the White House Sub Shop may be the single greatest delicacy in the entire US.
