I am going on vacation to the Myrtle Beach area on August 15 till the 22nd. Our resort which is the plantation resort is located in Surfside Beach. Me and the fam are trying to find a good trusted daycare/boarding facility where we can drop our 2 dogs off for the whole week. Anyone know of any nearby facilities?

I am facing the same situation in September when we will be traveling to New Orleans for a wedding and will need to board our Pug for 4 or 5 days. Anyone have experience with "Benji's Place" or is it "Palace" (or whatever) in PI? Their ads are frequent on the local TV stations.......

I know only of one place I trust our dog to. She doesn't advertise that I'm aware of, mostly word of mouth I'm guessing. She is a well known dog trainer, and recently opened a doggie daycare. She had been taking dogs into her home for a long time, but finally opened a facility. Matter of fact, she'll have our dog in a few weeks!

Several friends have used Benji's in Pawleys Island, and were very pleased with it. I understand they are not cheap but I've been told their facilities are excellent.

I don't have firsthand knowledge of Benji's but the vet we use recommends them and I consider our vet's office to be one of the best on the beach..

pburgess-
You guessed it! Bruce Krull.. as long as he's in town, I'll never go anywhere else. IMO, his knowledge and dedication saved the life of one of our Peke's 3 years ago. It was a long, expensive roller coaster, but we made it through.

The staff there all knows us by first name and they were all so supportive during the ordeal. Google IMHA to get an idea..
