Definitely Dr. Bruce all the way. While I don't always agree on his recommendations (he gave us the name of a trainer who we found to be quite abusive to dogs), his veterinary skill is unmatched. If you would have said that Ark place, I would have thought someone gave you some bad info. Wow, what a horrible horrible center.
Seems like i`ll be leaning more towards Benjis based on your recommendations. Thanks a lot everyone! As for Pawleys Island its not too far from Surside Beach correct? I`ve been there only once but dont really remember the distance

We are still trying to decide on where to board our Pug Otis for 5 days in September. We will be driving from Murrells Inlet to New Orleans and the route will take us through Conway. Dogdaysgroomandboard provides boarding for small dogs. They are at 3243 Highwy 701 North in Conway and therefore would be convienient to drop off and pick up on the way. Any input on this establishment?
I hope you find a nice place to board Otis! I hate leaving my dog with strangers! It's so hard. I used a place here in Surfside Beach, the one time I had no choice but to board my dog, but they moved to Socastee. I usually take my dog, Baby, a Shih -Tzu, everywhere I go, but sometimes that is just not feasible, I know. Good luck with finding a place that you are comfortable with.
Even though I live in Surfside, I use a vet in PI, Dr. McNeal, who I love. You might try calling her office and asking for a recommendation for boarding.

I'd love to meet someone local who has a small dog (or more than one) that would be willing to trade boarding services. I would bring Otis on a "play date" to make sure the dogs (and the owner) were a good fit......
