Hey guys.....
My husband and I just bought a condo in Garden City and I'm not sure about "locals" discounts. I asked at the Aquarium and there was a 50% discount! I'm not sure if restaurants offer them or not...is there a list somewhere? Also, our DL say Greenwood SC so do places make you prove your residency and if so, do I just carry around a power bill or something?
I don't want to be impolite or seem pushy but I do want to take advantage of every dollar I can put into savings Let me know your thoughts......
Hey USCGAL --
Great Link!! Thanks so much!!!!
I will spend 6 months there and 6 months in the upstate...I wonder if I can have two DLs or how I will handle getting my local ID if I still have my Upstate SC ID.
Should be able to get a local ID card by showing proof of residency, light bill, phone bill, tax bills, etc..
You are not allowed to (legally) possess two DL's... ;-)
I just thought to ask about this at a mini golf place Saturday evening.. The gentleman offered my wife and I the same kid rate that my 7yr old niece was charged! Very neat indeed..
Yah, I'm going to take the Cable bill to the DMV down there to see if I can get a resident's card.....makes the most sense. And heck yeah, folks....we need to help each other find ways to save $$ and still have the extras that make life fun.
yes, you have to show local ID. not sure who all gives discounts. i ask whenever i go to pay for something.
