Very interested in narrowing down areas to look at in these areas. We will be retiring from the Northeast in a year or so and are looking for a townhouse or house with easy maintenance in the $400K-$500K range about 2800 Sq feet. I really prefer mature landscaping and one story or a main floor master. Trying to avoid houses that are really dated and need lots of work. Golf isn’t important, but it would be nice to have some activities to meet people. A beach club is a plus. Is there a perfect development for me?

Well, I think the island of Pawleys Island is pretty perfect.

Pawley's and north Litchfield are older beach communities, no developments and price points are much higher.
