Since I have been here almost 2 years, we have nothing happen.

Isn't the crime rate high because of all the tourist, it is a large number of people.

It is just like anywhere, there may be a bad area, so you just stay away.

Well, consider yourself fortunate so far. Either the crime reports are totally ficticious or some of the posters are overreacting to actual violence either they have experienced first hand or read in the local news reports.

It's a crying shame all the finer places like this get marred by either gang activity or downright head hunts by those who carry chips on their shoulder for one reason or another.

If you ask me, any area of this nature that carries a high degree of increasing crime should be patroled by the Military Police and everyone should be under scrutiny and checked for any past or recent violent actions against the innocent.

It's long since past time for ProAction and not the lazy reaction of wait untill something happens, then deal with the fallout, regardless if the outcome is serious or irrational harrassment.

Shame really, to see how old fashioned charm & southern heritage is not been preserved as it should have been long ago. And the results speak for themselves unfortunately.
