No one here is mentioning that Carolina Forest is surrounded by highly flammable forest and has been referred to as a "tinderbox". Two recent fires - one in 2009 and another in 2013 destroyed some serious real estate. I wish our realtor had mentioned this before we purchased our home.

Itslyne, if you are buying a home just about anywhere in Carolina Forest is quiet, safe and comfortable. You'd just have to find a community that fits your budget.

If you are planning on renting, some of the apartment complexes have problems because students from the nearby college rent there. Not all students cause problems but when you have a bunch of them concentrated in a small area, there tends to be issues with noise, etc.
