Murrells Inlet , Litchfield Beach, Pawleys Island is all Georgetown COUNTY , but they all have separate zip codes. PLUS, there is the CITY of Georgetown with it's own mayor and government entities.

Are property taxes any cheaper in Georgetown County than Horry?

Thank you so much everyone...also what are some of local gyms? I have looked for some and all 8 I can find is fitness edge which was very nice but to exspensive. The other was 24 hour fitness. Any good reviews for 24 hour fitness?

Unfortunately I am just a fireman lol and just looking for a simple 3br home in the $150,000 range. Is this achievable for PI, if not is the area of georgetown a decent area?
OHfiremedic, There are not a lot of single family homes in Pawleys Island under 150,000. I just did a search and found only 6. If you would consider a townhouse, you would have a few more choices added to the list. Also, adding Murrells Inlet to the options will increase your choices as well. Good luck with your move!

HealthPoint Fitness Center is part of the Georgetown County hospital System and is right in the PI/Litchfield area. Seems well used and does have an indoor pool. Have not used the facility myself, but a neighbor has recommended it to us

The Georgetown County Hospital system has a fitness center/spa/rehab center right at the PI/Litchfield border...not a gym person myself but our neighbor highly recommended it to us. Also, I think that Planet Fitness just opened a facility nearby...the ad was on tv the other night.
In the Willbrook shopping center there is a sign for a "coming soon" facility but I don't know the name. Seems like the firehouse would have some sort of agreement with fitness facilities in the area considering how important that is to the job- you might see if they have a contract somewhere...
