Check reviews on Trip Advisor. While I don't believe all the reviews to be the whole truth, I think this site can give you a good idea of what to expect and where to look.

We actually rented a condo a few times at a great price. I found the ads on Craiglist. Good luck to you!

When we came to MB to explore where we might want to live, we stayed at Restful Bed and Breakfast Near Myrtle Beach SC | The Moore Farmhouse . The owners are delightful and it's very clean/safe. Now, one might not consider the price to be "reasonable" but considering that you get a full breakfast every day (assuming that one usually eats breakfast every day), the price is not bad if one gets the least expensive room. You also have use of the entire house to relax as well as the yard, etc. It may not be "your cup of tea" due to the price, but I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a different experience and doesn't have to be near the beach.

We use to stay at LaQuinta which is VERY nice and reasonable, but it's not toward Conway either......it's across from Broadway At The Beach.
