Sum, if you do find an eye Dr. that you really like and trust, please share! Also, your best bet for finding a good one may be to ask for a referral from the cardiologist that you really liked. I just asked my husband if he knew anyone, but he refers to a few and doesn't really have a favorite that he would recommend.
I found a dentist that I love due to a referral from my gynecologist. I am a total dentalphobe, so this was really a blessing to me!

I'll let you know on Monday we took the referral they had as they said it would get us in earlier. They are in Murrells Inlet.

Had my eye exam at Costco. Dr. Bitterman seemed thorough. He and the staff were nice. Ordered two pair of glasses. Nothing to complain about....... Well the drive back to Murrells Inlet in the sunshine was not fun after being dialated. Probably should not have done that.
I had called for an appointment in the morning for that afternoon, went in to America's Best at 3:30ish and looked around while waiting for the exam, which was only 15 minutes wait time. When I went back to pick up the glasses, I waited maybe 5 minutes.
Gary...You are so very lucky. The two ladies in front of us mentioned to the girl they were there since 9:15 and it was 12:15.....Thats really way, way, too long.
Summering, we make our own luck, I live and do right by others, so Karma takes care of me
From my experience at Americas Best, I would go back and suggest anyone else to do the same.

Gary, this sounds good on paper. But, do you think those two ladies were happy about the three hours?
Was it their Karma to loose three hours of their day?
I think everyone is very nice there and I liked that. Their speed factor needs to be improved a bit.
We will go get glasses there as the cost of the exam will be deducted. But, first...Mr Summering needs some eye surgery. After thats over...off we go.

I am picking up my two pairs of glasses tomorrow at Costco. Less than a week for trifocals. Works for me......
