I am very interested in the Murrell's Inlet area. I just have to watch because some of the area has children bused to Waccamaw, and after realizing that a rental house I was considering was zoned for that elem and mapquest said it was 10-11 miles away I realized that I have to watch where I look.

There is an area called Prince Creek(going off memory but something like that) in Murrell's Inlet, so that may be an area I look.

I lived in Mt. Pleasant for ten years, but I moved up here almost two years ago for a job in NYC. I decided I am going back to SC. I still have friends in the Charleston area, so I hope that this is not a huge adjustment.

I have not rented in l7 years............................................. ............ It's only a year, and maybe it will help me find the perfect place for us. It better because the thought of all this packing again in about l0 months is about to kill me. I had to find something there and everyone wanted a year lease.

SC,

I'm in Prince Creek....My backyard backs up to Georgetown( waccamaw school district) County. I'm in Horry county, and my son goes to St James school. If you have any questions, or have a house you like, and are unsure if it's Georgetown or Horry, just ask me and I'll let you know. I know where the county borderline is.

My parents(retired), myself (disability) and my 25 yr old son(self-employed) are looking into moving from PA to the Myrtle Beach in about 2 years. The question I have is we'd like to see if we can get either 2 homes (1 standard & 1 mobile home) close together (walking distance) or my parents get a home and I purchase a mobile home and put it one their property and pay them lot rent. The only other option is a home with in-laws quarters. Because of my disability I can't live alone and I can't live with them because I'm allergic to cats & they have 3. So, I guess my question is, is it legal to put a mobile home on property with a house on it in the Myrtle Beach area?

You would most likely need to find a home where there are no restrictive covenants in order to park a mobile home on a lot that has a single family home on it. Covenants are associated with communities that have an HOA (Home Owners Association).
