River Room is on Front Street, overlooking the harbor. If you've visited Georgetown's HarborWalk, you already know the views are not spectacular water views, but it's a pleasant place to watch the boats. River Room has a very nice glassed-in porch directly adjoining the HarborWalk.

Just wanted to toss out Lands End as an alternative to River Room if you are looking for something with a waterfront view. I think I like each restaurants food about the same but I prefer the view at Lands End. Although I like the "ambiance" of the River Room better lol

We haven't spent much time in Georgetown so I'm not familiar with either of these places, but will make plans to amend that next visit. thanks for the tips.

I know it's a cliche', but I've never had anything at Pasteria that disappointed me. Make sure whatever you order comes with a salad. The marinated Abruzzi tomatoes are the best thing resembling a vegetable that I've ever eaten. Past that, I particularly like their veal & sausage stew, ziti Parmigiano, as well as both their veal piccata and marsala. Their pizzas are also very good and probably their most popular items. If you go at lunch, my wife loves a seafood specialty dish, but neither of us can remember what it's called. I'm not sure if it's on the dinner menu or not. At lunch, their panini's are also very good, particularly the homemade Italian sausage. BTW, the majority of their lunch menu is in the $6 range. Order one of all the above, and let me know which you like best.

Bouncing? If you order and eat everything PD recommends, you will be rolling home!

Speaking of Pasteria, anybody heard from Baylovers lately? It's one of their favorites. I thought sure this thread would pull him out of hiding...

That is a good question PD. It has been quite awhile since Baylovers has popped in. I hope all is well with him.
