I'm heading to the MB area in a few months for my first "exploratory" look at the area. I'm planning on a permanent move, most likely by the end of 2012.
I just have few issues/questions about communities/sub divisions that I'm hoping someone can give me guidance on.
- I'm looking for communities with single level condos (or townhouses, like they're called in North Carolina, not sure what the correct term is in SC). I want single level, but I DON'T want anyone above or below me.
- I not looking for anything on the beach. A 10 or 15 min drive to the beach is fine. So I guess I'm looking outside the city??
- I'd like a quiet, beautiful neighborhood - not an adult community, but a peaceful place that's nice to walk or bike in, with stores possibly within walking distance.
- Would like new or "newer" construction - something under 7-8 years old.
- I be looking to spend approx. 150K - 250k. My ultimate goal is to buy, NOT rent, once I become a permanent resident.
Also, if anyone knows of an excellent real estate agent, or firm, I'd appreciate any info.
PM me and I can give you the name of a good agent. In the meantime, we liked these townhomes when we were first looking around. We ended up building a house, but if you want a townhome, these are nice. They have a second story but it's mainly storage or an extra bedroom.
There are a bunch in Surfside Beach that are really gorgeous but they have second floors or lofts. Maybe the one bedrooms are all on one floor? They are stucco and have courtyards. Maybe vrexy knows the ones I'm talking about.
italjay, There are several villas / garden homes / carriage homes in the Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island area (all in your price range). Most have a second floor or loft but have the master bedroom on the first floor. If that area interests you and you would consider a loft / second floor area acceptable let me know and I would be happy to post some links. I am not a realtor, just a real estate enthusiast (which is odd since I don't own any, nor do I have the money to buy any )
