I have yet to check out a Trader Joe's food store. There was a lot of hipe and postings on the Naples Florida forum about the resent opening of a new TJ near our place in North Naples. I had planned a visit but did not get around to it before we returned to Murrells Inlet this past Sunday. Anyway, on our drive north on 17, I noticed what looks to be a brand new Trader Joe's just north of Charleston.
I wonder if there are any plans to open one in the Myrtle Beach area?
There's one just off of Rt. 17, in Brunswick Cty., NC....just outside of Wilmington....never stopped there, but I see it when I pass by! It's about 45 mins. from the NC/SC border.
I like TJS but not enough to drive more than 30 minutes for it. Now I have friends who drive hours and stock up on certain wines, especially. It would be great to have one near Market Commons and I bet it would be a smash hit there.

I wonder if there is a way to let them know? It could be a franchise business opportunity for someone........
I think Trader Joe's is okay, but too much of a specialty store and you never know what they will have when you go there. It's always changing and I agree with Tinabean in that I would not be willing to drive very far to go to one.

Well, Vicky, when I lived in Roselle Park, South Orange was not far. In fact I used to drive through it if I took the back way from Little Falls where I worked at the time or coming home from evening graduate classes at Monclair University. However from Lakewood, with NJ traffic, it would be a trip........
We have had Trader Joes where I lived before I moved here for about 17 or so years so I have tried a lot of products there. I and my parents shopped there fairly regularly. They have some products that I like quite a bit but I would not drive any crazy long distance to shop there. If you get the chance try their dried mango strips.....or maybe black bean and jack burritos......or........why isnt their a TJ's here??
