haha that's what I said! Even if it WAS his son's dog...the kid is FIFTEEN!! The father is still legally responsible, regardless. If he really believed it was his son's respnsibility, he wouldn't have plead guilty, in my opinion. He probably would have plead innocent and asked for a bench trial, showing proof it was his kid's dog, etc. Probably still would have lost, however.
We just dropped off our foster today as she's going to her forever home. We would have gladly rescued that dog had we known its circumstances!! Easier to find a home than let a dog die (aka kill it) and then go to jail.
