Recently I started volunteering at a local no kill shelter and they are in need of supplies. I know everyone is on a tight budget, including me so even if you just clean out your linen closet and donate old towels, blankets etc...they can use them. Here is a list of other items needed if you can help:
Purina Brand Live Stock Food
HE Laundry Detergent
Large “GardenWay” type cart for moving square bales of hay (Has big
bicycle type wheels)
Food Quality Plastic Buckets – 5 gallon (restaurant type – NOT paint
buckets, please)
6 foot fencing and gates
Wooden pallets – in good condition
Gutters and installation
Dog and Cat Food
Dog Pens, Igloo Dog Houses, Training Crates & Carriers (Need Very Large
Carriers)
Window Air Conditioners – 110 Only
Hand Sanitizer
Odoban in Gallon Jugs (Sam’s)
Stainless Steel Dog Bowls
Bleach
Oxyclean
Fabuloso Cleaner – Gallon Jugs
50 Gallon Garden Trash Bags
Fill dirt/top soil and paving material
Garden shed to store lawnmower and garden equipment
Donated or Discounted Services of Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers,
Handy Man, and Tree Cutting Service
2” x 6” treated lumber for fencing
Grass and/or pasture seed for horse pasture grazing
Trailer, Bushhog and Auger for John Deere 750 tractor
Dependable, small truck for pickup/delivery of supplies, feed, hay, etc.
Please check with your accountant about a tax deduction when donating
your vehicle to charity.

I don't want to post the name or contact but they are in Conway and if you send me a message I can give you more info..

I'm willing to pick up items but if you live far away maybe you can meet me one day or if a group of people have items to donate we can designate a day and time to meet.

Thank you for any help. I'm involved in several animal groups and promise this one is doing good work and will put items donated to good use helping an animal in need. Thank you CD friends!

Yes! I just haven't been over that way and won't have time in the next two weeks. I have something I'm doing in NMB so I'll be on the other end. If that changes I'll let you know. Thank you!

No problem, it's a good cause. It's a no kill shelter so that's shy I'm trying to help. They have a web site and Facebook page but I don't want to post it here and it perceived as "advertising". They also take monetary donations and allow people to sponser animals, sort of like The Gentle Barn if you're familiar with them.

I'm so glad that it could be of use! And I saw the video of the front paw-less pup, who is just adorable! I hope to get out that way and volunteer before too long. Thanks for the feedback and for sharing.
