When we are in town I usually make a trip atleast once a week to shop at the Walmart either at Bypass 17 and 544 or, if I am going go Costco too, the one across from the Costco past the airport.

I had heard that they are building a new Walmart off of Business 17 in Garden City or Surfside. Is it done/open yet? Where exactly is it located (I don't travel Business 17 much except to go the the library branch in Garden City)?

I just drove past it today. Still a work in progress. Not sure when they plan to open.

OK, thanks for the news. But where will it be located?

It's right across Hwy 17 from the Pink Pony. And *don't* pretend you don't know the Pink Pony!

Tmozer,
You can't miss that pink and black building! If you are coming from Murrells Inlet the Walmart will be on the left after you pass Atlantic Ave.

PD,
There is even LESS to see in the Pink Pony these days. They are closed.

Nice. That is close (to me).
Wonder if it will be a full service/big Walmart (like the other two I mentioned)?

New Walmart will be at corner of 17 Business and Garden City Connector. This puts it behind Walgreen and Greg's Cabana Bar.

Yup. With the two entrances, it looks like a full size/service Walmart. Thanks.
