Well they released the US Census 2023 County Population infographic, Mobile County is in the 0.0% to 1.5% category, so looks like Mobile County has reversed the trend, the official data releases at 7am, so we shall see what the actual number is

Mobile County added 242 residents between 2022-2023 from 411,398 to 411,640. Not a lot but is at least a reverse of trends, Baldwin County added 6,796 residents

Montgomery County lost 1,321 residents
Jefferson lost 2,189 residents
So at least Mobile is in the positive now

Madison added 8,995 residents

Madison may have surpassed us by 1200 residents now.

I would say that one year worth of data isn't enough to say we reversed a trend. One bad year can erase it all plus some. I would say if we keep growing for the next 2-3 years we can say that it has reversed. But, it is still good news!

Certainly fair, I’m just happy to see the first estimate gains since 2017 (outside of actual 2020 census)

Actually just 960.

We want the 2 on the license plate now.

City and town estimates will likely be sometime in May.

Sort of amazing. Just 40 or so years ago they were 3, and Mobile was 2.

Not sure why Montgomery and Jefferson Counties keep declining so much each year.
