Don't lose hope! I recently emailed La Madeleine again (they have always replied) and their response was quite different in tone from 2-3 years ago, when it was a flat "no plans to expand to Mobile are in the foreseeable future". This time around it was "we have many cafes opening in the next year, but don't yet have a full list of locations."

Whoever has enough time to create this bogus site is pathetic. And in addition to playing games with people here on the forum, they are also, no doubt, playing a cruel joke on the CUMMINGS RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE CO.

This company has nothing to do with McGowin Park. But no doubt they have read the musings of many here who do have wish lists.

Exactly, I could not have said better myself!

I hope your right, and not them being courteous. Corner Bakary Cafe is expanding in birmingham, hopefully Mobile will get a bone.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to checking it out on Saturday. I let my Sam's membership lapse in February in preparation of a Costco membership.

I cannot wait for the new tenants to be announced. It's looking super nice and will really make that part of town look so much nicer. This place will really change the retail market for the city, for sure.

Any word on whether or not Ross will close their store at Festival Center when their McGowin Park store opens?

Especially with their upcoming Schillinger Road store, McGowin and Festival center seem too close together...

I could see the Festival Center location converting to a DD's...their lower-end counterpart. Pensacola has one at Town & Country Plaza.
