To me there's about 3 (roughly) unbearable months in MN...but there are similarly 3 unbearable months in AZ and FL. If you think about it.

AZ has deaths every year during the Summer because of the heat.

ATL most definitely has 4 seasons. Winter doesn't bear much snow, but it does average below freezing for lows in Jan and Feb. It's also the rainy season. Summer is hot and sunny, and spring and fall are very similar to those of MN, just shifted a month or two.

This couldn't be any more wrong. The fact that they feature warmer climates than Minnesota does not automatically support such an assertion. You're basically saying DFW and Atlanta have climates similar to San Diego or Phoenix and that is nowhere near the case. DFW and Atlanta both have 4 legitimate seasons, just with longer springs, longer autumns and shorter/milder winters than points north. I have a combined total of 22 years living in both metros, so without being obnoxious I consider my opinion to be completely accurate.

Not arguing any of that. Good and bad things about the weather anywhere you go.

I've lived 56 years in Northern Minnesota Winters, it goes with the territory.

I don’t consider any location south of 40 degrees latitude to have four very well defined seasons. Consistent snows and temperatures below freezing for both high temperatures and low temperatures hold significant weight for “well defined seasons.”

That isn’t what I consider to be four well defined seasons in the traditional sense at all. If a location shuts down due to a dusting of snow they are out of the running in my book.

That’s not what you originally said. You said they didn’t have 4 seasons at all, which is wrong.

No votes for snow (yet). I would think some people hate shoveling. Lots of heart attacks related to shoveling.

I love the darkness. I like the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it which I don't have to. It's the cold I don't care for once it gets below zero because then I can't take my walks.
