I linked to a not so pretty picture of Camden, which is in New Jersey, which is in America, so it's an American city.. Here is the link again File:Camden NJ poverty.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

here is one of an abandoned house in Detroit in the Article Crime in Detroit
File:Copy of DSC00439.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Here is the article where the picture is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Detroit

This article has a couple pictures of some poverty in places like Harlem, New York.
Poverty in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chester, Pennsylvania, the main picture there was in the US Poverty article and they got a picture of some boarded up buildings in the downtown area.

They do indeed show pictures of not so beautiful areas so I just proved you wrong

My point is that a city page isn't like to show the not-so-pretty areas pics. These are all links about crime and poverty, but not the actual page that someone from a city puts together. In my opinion, those pages are going to be trying to promote a city. I'm not going to take the time to go through every major city to see if I'm right or not. I think this is going a bit overboard on the whole subject anyway. You seem to have gotten quite carried away with this whole thing in my opinion.

I suppose I have gone overboard but Chester has the picture of poverty as their main picture.

I would pick Duluth, but that's because I was raised even farther up north (on the Iron Range). Reasons being:
- Great scenery
- Awesome old architecture (the kind you won't find anywhere in southern Minnesota)
- It actually has character... not just your typical Anywhere, USA.
- Closer to REAL recreational opportunities (Boundary Waters, the North Shore, lots of trails, lakes galore!)

I haven't ever lived in Rochester, but it gives me the impression of your typical "nothing to write home about" city... Just another satellite town, like Mankato or St. Cloud, about one hour from the metro. But if "economy" and strip malls are you thing, however, then southern Minnesota might be the place for you.

There is great scenery in Southern Minnesota, there is character here and plenty of great architecture - old and new. I grew up in Duluth - lived in Duluth for 30+ years. It's changed a great deal and in my opinion isn't that grand as far character and architecture.

Dude, everytime somebody gives a reason for liking Duluth you don't have to comeback with your lame replies like "Rochester has ____ too"

Yeah, cool, Rochester has scenery, neat, we get that, Minnesota is a beautiful state. But it's a Rochester VS DUluth thread, and so when people say they like something in Duluth more than Rochester, leave it alone.

The only thing Rochester has on Duluth is that it has a stable economy. Period

I agree, you don't need to come back and say Rochester has ____ too.

Actually I've never been to Rochester, so that's kind of lame of me, but I can say that Rochester has better roads than Duluth
