For an area to be called a "ghetto", because it has a high crime rate, is a drastic jump to conclusions. I once lived in one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the country (although I'm not rich at all), but it was also the most crime-ridden area of the city. Does that make it a "ghetto"?

The affluent neighboorhood you lived in, may I ask where this was?

I guess my answer would be Midway. It's just full of beggars and it's kind of run down. Not really "ghetto", just not a nice part of town. I hear the restaurants are great though!

What is the most "ghetto" spot in the Twin Cities? Like, name an intersection. I want to go there and see if I survive - I'm a 20 year old white boy who goes to The U and is originally from South Dakota - something tells me I'd just make a lot of friends and maybe score some "goods".

Anybody is probably going to "survive" the ghetto in broad daylight. There are, however, some streets that I'd like to recommend to you to check out alone at midnight.....

You'll survive, but how do you like getting the crap kicked out of you?

Midway isn't bad at all, and the same goes for most areas of the cities. If you're worried about whether being from SD makes you a target, I guess it depends on which part of SD you're from. If you're from no-man's land/ rural west river ranching areas that rely more on "cowboy justice" than the actual laws or police (am thinking of my experiences in interior or wall at night), then you'll probably do OK as long as you don't stare too much at people; or if you hail from the near-North or near-East (as in closer to DT/urbanized areas) parts of Sioux Falls you're good to go as well>

Are you trying to say those are "rough spots" in Sioux Falls? Or just used to more of an urban environment?
