I'll think about our new stadium every time I hit a pothole.

The Twins stadium.

I used to believe that the city simply didn't have the money to fix potholes or rotten roads. Clearly I was wrong.

Actually, when I hit a pothole, I think about the fact that my property tax is up 400 percent over the last decade. And still its not enough to fix up these potholes. Of course, I was told at a meeting that the city can't help raising the property tax. Why? Because a previous ROUND of handouts to rich businesses ran up city debts so high that reasonable property tax isn't enough to pay off that debt. Which just tells me the city government has failed to learn any lesson from that. While paying off the excesses of previous administrations, they are assuring that future ones have NEW debt to pay off. What a bunch of idiots!
