Master Jay, I was wondering do you know if this place called Apple Holler in Racine is any good or is it a rip off to steer clear of?

Kraftask, good afternoon,

I would say Apple Holler is a decent stop! Especially during Fall Time. There is a gift shop, a little restaurant, corn maze should be set up, etc. It is a very popular place.

Another cool place you may want to check out, further south into Kenosha County, right along I-94, on the west side of the highway (just like Apple Holler) is Mars Cheese Castle.

And there are some great restaurants along both sides of the I-94 in Kenosha County (Highway 50).

How far north of Racine County do you need to go?

Hey Master Jay, you got me trying to research good halfway points to check out between Chicago & Milwaukee. What do you think of The Tempel Lipizzans on Wadsworth road? Seems pretty pricey for a horse show or is it THAT GOOD?

Kraftask, Sir!

I am not familiar with the horse show you mentioned. Although I had looked for places that would let outsiders rent horses for a ride.

But if you ARE in that area, definitely eat at The Shanty on Wadsworth and Hwy 41. Great filets and great Cajun rubbed Red Fish!

Heck, I was just there yesterday.

Hey i've seen that place! Never stopped in though so i'll have to check it out one of these days. When i was up in Milwaukee, i found out my baby's mom is looking into moving to the Racine/Kenosha area but upon further research, it seems like there's a huge lack of affordable housing along that stretch of i-94. So i'm trying to get her to look into the Rockford/Beloit area.
