And unlike Milwaukee, Chicago puts even numbered addresses on the east side of streets. I believe Racine and Kenosha do, too?

Kenosha is all numbered except for a few main streets. So you can find most anything easily.

OOPS I think I said that incorrectly.

Milwaukee puts even numbered addresses on the east side of the street.

In Chicago, even numbered addresses are on the west side of the street .

Again, I believe Racine is like the latter.

I flew into O hare this week and even with all it's warts, my goodness is Chicago a beautiful city! We are so lucky to have it so close to us. Just think and hour to 1.5 hrs away you can fly almost anywhere in the world nonstop. That's great!

city414, hello.

You inspired me to check out the housing in Chicago. I'm here right NOW!

Have a great weekend with great weather.

Actually I have to go to Madison tomorrow.

Very good chance I'll be in Chicago on Sunday, again, though!

Happy Thanksgiving-time to you all.

It's been a while since I've been to the area, but I went back a couple times last week to Bay View, to Groppis area.

Even my children remarked how the neighborhood really resembles a neighborhood in Chicago where there's a conglomeration of restaurants mixed in with residential (thinking the "Heart of Chicago" neighborhood, on her south side).

And KinnickKinnick Avenue, however, reminded me of Chicago's North Side, Logan Square, neighborhood. EXCEPT in Chicago, even on a cold night, you will see scores of people going places, constantly.

Come on, my fellow Milwaukeeans! Where is the energy in our city that I feel so much in Chicago?!?

Much love for you though!

I find it interesting that Milwaukee is now outpacing Chicago in car thefts this year and will possibly surpass 10,000. That is over 30 cars stolen every single day. Very nice.

Milwaukee's count of only about 200 homicides and 800 shootings still has some room to improve on Chicago's count of 832 homicides and 4437 shootings (year to date).

TRlaura (and all of us!), we have to make sure we do not let this negative news consume us!

The stats on crime AND the stats on restaurants trying to hire people AND the Coronavirus stats is DEFINITELY eating away at ME, and everyone knows me to be a positive and energetic person.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy!
