I wanted to check out miami for a 6 month move. This move will be with my 2 children. I am looking for of course something safe, and close to the airport or I-95. Whats is the best thing for me to do, get a vacation home or go and visit every month until I am use to it? How strict is Miami with their apartment applications, my credit is not the best, I dont really have any. this move is for various reasons not just to relocate. So that is why I dont know if I should seek out to get a place or should I just find a vacation home and stay for months at a time to do what I need to do. Does anyone know about vacation homes and will I end up spending more that way?

It shouldnt be too hard to find a 6 month lease in this market.. just talk to landlords. What is your pricerange?
