US1 going down to the Key's was very dangerous when they didn't have the dividing wall because people were passing in the no passing zones, and either getting into head on collisions or causing other people to wreck trying to avoid them.
Now days it is much safer, so I am not sure why you suspect there are a bunch of accidents?
