I have just gotten a job in Glendale - I'll be starting in August and I'm wanting to live in Scottsdale. What is the traffic like taking the 101 West in the mornings, say around 7:15am?

It depends on what part of Scottsdale and what part of Glendale. If you are semi-north and somewhere between the Shea and Scottsdale Rd exits along the 101, the traffic is not bad at all since you are going the opposite direction of most people. Heading west bound on the 101 in the north valley is a breeze. It takes about 20 minutes to go from FLW exit on the 101 to the I-17 & 101 intersection.
