Buy in Brickell- youre not going to be comfortable in Little Havana. Its safe to a point- but after that point it can be a really dangerous place. Especially if you own a car.

HELL YEAH IT'S DANGEROUS!

I saw a shooting on the news where this guy got shot in the back for digging thru a garbage can.

It was on the show 48 hours!

I knew a professional photographer who used to live in Little Havana. He drove a motorcycle and said he would chain it down with the biggest and heaviest chains he could find because the theft was no joke in little Havana. He also said it wasn't safe for other reasons (though I never asked him why). I also have a co worker who lives in the western half of little Havana and she said her car has been broken into a extraordinary amount of times. She also said it isn't safe in her area.

That area scares me. Last time I had to go there I almost had an anxiety attack. It's a very poor, rundown area.

I don't get it, I really don't. I've been to Miami a few times and drove around extensively. How does anyone get shot in Miami, NOBODY is ever even outside! I'm not talking about Miami Beach or anything, it's really Florida in general. It's kinda spooky driving around nabes early in the evening and not seeing a soul outside even though the weather was great.

That's why Miami was ranked the fattest city in the US. Just goes to show how little much of Miami-Dade County has in common with Miami Beach (what everybody knows Miami by).
